Town of Landeck
Welcome to the Alpine town of Landeck!
The district capital was already settled around Bronze Age. It has always been an important traffic junction. Proof of this is the 2,000-year old Via Claudia Augusta. Thanks to the central location at the intersection of the Upper Inntal valley, the Paznauntal valley (Ischgl), the Stanzertal valley (Arlberg) and the Fernpass route, it is a perfect base for leisure time activities and excursions.
Surrounded by dreamlike mountains, picturesque fortresses and castles, idyllic villages and unique excursion destinations, holiday makers can enjoy the atmosphere and Tirolean hospitality all year through. The landmark of the town is Schloss Landeck castle. Today the castle is a modern district museum, a gallery and an events’ centre.
Varied greenbelt recreation areas around Landeck offer perfect possibilities for relaxation and recreation – in summer and winter alike.
The pulsating life of the town makes it a popular shopping town that is know beyond the borders. It offers also excellent conditions for congresses and conferences.
