Tobadill – an idyllic Tirolean village
Tobadill is located on a wood-covered hill. Its centre is the church; many hamlets and farms are scattered around it. The village was first chartered in 1275; its name derives from Latin “taveldilli” (small hay barn).
The impressive Schloss Wiesberg castle towers high above the wild Tirsanna River, where Paznauntal valley leads into Stanzertal valley. Next to it is one of the most imposing buildings of the Arlberg route, the 231m-long and 86m-high Trisannabrücke bridge.
Rural buildings and many chapels mark the village.
Hikers can enjoy the atmosphere amidst farmland and fields.
